A period of nearly nine years having elapsed since Christian Science found me, I feel that I should like to express my gratitude for what this wonderful truth has done for me. It came to me in a time of great need, when I was suffering from physical trouble which had been treated by various medical methods, but with no lasting results, and only a few months before the sudden passing on of my mother. During this experience Christian Science was a source of great comfort and strength to me. Since then it has met my every need, when faithfully and honestly applied. Sometimes the way has seemed dark and discouraging, but the truth has always brought the light.

I am very grateful for the overcoming, to a great extent, of fear. This has been one of my greatest enemies, and the battle has been long and hard; but when my thought is filled with love, this seeming foe vanishes. Mrs. Eddy says in our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 410), "Every trial of our faith in God makes us stronger;" and I know this to be true.

I am especially grateful for the understanding of the Bible which Christian Science has brought, for before learning something of this great truth it was a closed book to me; and I have found that Science and Health is indeed a "key" to the Scriptures. I am grateful for all our periodicals; for the help of loving practitioners; for membership in The Mother Church and a branch church; and for the privilege of serving as a teacher in the Sunday school. The help received through this channel is beyond expression.
