I have received so many blessings through Christian Science that I want to express my deep gratitude. About fifteen years ago I became interested in Christian Science; then various circumstances caused me to abandon it. I had not made my own the truth which I had found in its teaching. Several years followed, during which I had all sorts of sickness. Often I would say to myself that had I the necessary understanding these difficulties would not seem to exist, but I did not have enough of it to overcome them. One day a friend came to my home, and while talking with him I thought from his way of expressing himself that he must be a student of Christian Science. From that day I studied the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, with my family, and we attended regularly the Sunday services and the Wednesday evening testimony meetings. It would be difficult for me to enumerate all the blessings which we have received. Fear of illness had always haunted our thought; it has given place to the understanding that man, as God's reflection, is receptive only to good.

My first healing was of influenza, when my condition seemed very critical. In spite of the disturbing material appearances, we did not yield to discouragement; and on the sixth day I was suddenly healed, although a few moments before the symptoms were alarming. The next day I was able to get up; and I walked in the country without being tried. I had no convalescence; and this greatly surprised my household. Since this convincing experience Christian Science has been our guide. I have seen my children healed of many ills—chills, earache, and so on; but I am still more grateful for the protection we receive by applying the truth; and through in many errors have been routed, many troubles avoided. It is also a great joy to be able to send our children to the Christian Science Sunday School, where they receive teaching given with so much love, which provides for them an incomparable basis for life. What a privilege, in short, to know that from early childhood they are learning of the allness of God, their Father-Mother.

Christian Science is certainly the promised Comforter. Through the application of its truths a great trial has been made easy, and a sense of loss and grief replaced by a better understanding of Life. In business we have had many proofs of the efficacy of divine power; right has prevailed when the unreality of error has been clearly seen.
