Mason City, Iowa (First Church).—First Church of Christ, Scientist, Washington Avenue and Third Street, Northwest, completed last spring and now out of debt, has just been dedicated. The new church is one hundred feet long by forty-two feet wide. It includes Reading Rooms and offices, and an auditorium which will seat four hundred persons. The structure is of light buff brick, trimmed with Bedford stone. Ample room for office and Reading Rooms is provided in the east end of the building, which is reached by a special entrance from the sidewalk on Third Street. A large Sunday school and assembly room is provided in the basement, where there is also installed a heating system that forces fresh, washed air to all parts of the building. The same provision that circulates the warm air in the winter is used for cooled air in the summer.—Mason City Globe-Gazette.
