I began the study of Christian Science several years ago, and have never ceased being grateful to God for having led me to this beautiful religion. Christian Science has healed me and our three boys of constipation and of many other diseases; for all of which we are indeed very grateful. But most of all, I am grateful for the spiritual uplift that has taken place in my consciousness, and for the peace and harmony which Christian Science has brought into my home. Mrs. Eddy says in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 201), "The way to extract error from mortal mind is to pour in truth through flood-tides of Love." I have been grateful for this statement many times, for it has proved to me that when we do pour in truth, error goes out, for it has no place in Truth and Love. I did not like to go to church or to read the Bible before I became a student of Christian Science; but after I began to read Science and Health there came a great desire to know more about God and to read the Bible, and to attend the church services and the Wednesday evening testimony meetings.
I am very grateful for the little understanding I have gained of Christian Science, and I pray daily that I may know more of this wonderful truth that is freeing the world of sin and disease. I am grateful for the Christian Science literature, for church membership in both a branch church and The Mother Church, and for the faithful practitioners, who are always ready to help us at any time. — (Mrs.) Harriet Martindale, Snoqualmie Falls, Washington.
