Human vocabulary is inadequate to tell of the benefits a student of Christian Science gets from its study. When, over twenty years ago, I became interested in this religion, the mere reading of its textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, healed me permanently of earache and constipation. I had been asked to join a church of another denomination, but decided to investigate various religions before I took any definite step. Although I was only of high school age, the reading of Science and Health and the explanation in the "Rule for Motives and Acts" (Church Manual, p. 40) of the duties of Christian Scientists, completely satisfied me; and I looked no farther for a religion.

In the interim I have had many proofs of the efficacy of Christian Science to heal disease. Sprained ankles, ingrown nails, influenza, tonsillitis, blood poisoning, burns, and stomach trouble have yielded, in almost every case instantaneously, to Christian Science treatment. These are only a few of the many proofs I have had of Immanuel, or "God with us." No one who has not experienced it can understand the peace which this beautiful religion brings.

For the privilege of membership in the Mother Church, of serving in a Christian Science Society, of class instruction under a loyal Christian Science teacher, and for the periodicals, bringing their messages of helpfulness, I am most thankful. I cannot close without a few words of love for our Leader, who gave us this truth in demonstrable form. I hope, by abiding in the spirit as well as the letter of her instructions, to show my appreciation for what her work has meant to me.—(Miss) Rue Randall Clifford, South San Francisco, California.
