When Christian Science came to me I was in utter despair...
When Christian Science came to me I was in utter despair, having had nothing but sickness in my family for years. Never shall I forget the first evening when Christian Science was brought to my home. Oh, the beautiful peace and joy! It began at once to clear up the rubbish of wrong thinking about God and man which had collected for so long. When I began to realize what God is,—all good, ever present, and always available under all circumstances,—everything began to change. I had suffered from blood poisoning since girlhood, never being well for many days at a time. It attacked me in all parts of my body, making me prostrate. I am very grateful I have been healed through Christian Science treatment. To-day I am a strong, healthy woman, and extremely thankful for the spiritual uplift which I have gained.
I am grateful to Christ Jesus, the Way-shower; to our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, for revealing this wonderful truth to us; for the "Daily Prayer" in the Manual (p. 41); for our authorized literature; and for the Lesson-Sermons. I can truly say with Joel, "Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice: for the Lord will do great things."—(Mrs.)Mary J. Cooper, Bristol, Gloucestershire, England.
