It is with deep gratitude for Christian Science and our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, that I send in this testimony. I did not come into Christian Science through healing. Asked by a dear one, who went to the Christian Science church, to go some Sunday morning, I went and found the truth; and since then I have been nowhere else to service. I am grateful for membership in this church, and for the privilege of teaching in the Sunday school, and also for membership in The Mother Church.
The first healing in our family was of our daughter. While playing tag at school with the children, she ran into a chalk board with her arm straight out, bending it in the form of the letter "S." At first the doctor was called, and splints and so on were spoken of; but I said it would be better if we tried Christian Science, and it was decided we would. One of my neighbors called a practitioner for help, which was lovingly given. In one hour the child's arm was perfectly straight, and in two weeks perfectly healed. This was proof enough for us that Christian Science does heal the sick, and meets every need. We have had many other healings, from colds, goiter in the throat, and so on; but we are most grateful for a better understanding of the truth, which teaches self-sacrifice and patience in all things and to all of God's children.
