At the end of April, 1923, our twelve-year-old daughter was taken very ill. After she had been ill about twelve days, the third doctor we had asked for advice diagnosed the case as one of appendicitis. It was too late for an operation as the illness was too far advanced. Our fear and anxiety for our only child was great; but we learned that "man's extremity is God's opportunity." A lady living in the house called our attention to Christian Science. This was the first we had heard of it. We turned at once to a Christian Science practitioner, who began treatment and helped us to understand the truth. Within twenty-four hours the child was free from the terrible pains, and the fever had gone: our child was well. Although she had suffered physically very severely, she felt perfectly well the next day, and desired to get up. The healing was permanent, and there has been no return of the symptoms.

We are grateful to God with all our heart for this quick healing. We also thank Mrs. Eddy that through her we learned to know the way, the most beautiful way there is. We also thank the practitioner who stood by us in our great need and helped us. We are happy that through this trial we have found the true way to our Father-Mother God.

Our daughter now attends the Christian Science Sunday School regularly, and my wife and I attend the Sunday services and Wednesday evening testimony meetings.
