My first healing was instantaneous and came through asking a neighbor, "What is Christian Science?" although I had not previously thought of making inquiry into this subject. That "man's extremity is God's opportunity" was proved to me beyond cavil, as our home had been most discordant, and life a burden. The phrase, "What's the use?" was upon my lips many times a day. Upon being told a few simple truths about God and man's relationship to Him, as taught in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, I was at once reborn of Spirit, my entire viewpoint of life undergoing a change. Not only was the thought of separation healed, but I was also freed from chronic constipation, catarrh, and fear of electrical storms, although at the time I had no thought of receiving physical healing.

During the six years since I received my first glimpse of heaven, regeneration of thought has gradually been enabling me to put off the things of the flesh, and I am learning how to pray for that Mind "which was also in Christ Jesus." Words cannot express my gratitude for the spiritual unfoldment which has taken place in my consciousness, and which naturally brings the physical harmony. I am praying to be shown how to be grateful to God for His manifold blessings in giving us Christ Jesus, the Way-shower, and Mary Baker Eddy, who has revealed the way to us.
