Signs of the Times

[Carrie Chapman Catt, as quoted in the Union Signal, Evanston, Illinois]

Nothing good ever has been lost. Progress never can be stopped. The woman movement will go forward, and in the thirty-one countries not yet having equal suffrage women will be enfranchuised whether they will or not. Women are now on the fringes of politics. There is nothing to fear. ... The peace of the world is as certain to come as the sun to rise.
