It is about six years since I first became interested in Christian Science, having previously searched long and fruitlessly for health through every avenue of theory and medicine. After exhausting all these and turning trustingly to God, I was almost instantly healed of a nervous stomach trouble that had been a constant companion of misery for half a lifetime. It was on my second visit to a Christian Science church, at a Wednesday evening testimony meeting, that I was healed through the silent prayer that blesses the stranger within the gates. The following morning's breakfast was fearlessly eaten, and I have never experienced the slightest return of the old condition. Other nervous troubles disappeared in quick succession through the study and application of the truth made plain through the words and works of our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, and the daily help of our precious periodicals, including The Christian Science Monitor. I have tried to imagine what our progress along the way would have been without these guideposts so lovingly planted to guide our timid footsteps. Verily one may realize the meaning of the words of one of our beautiful hymns:

"His goodness stands approved,
Unchanged from day to day:
I'll drop my burden at His feet,
And bear a song away;"
