About eighteen years ago in a large city I came across a church with these words carved in stone over the doorway: "He sent his word, and healed them." I knew then and there I had found the key to what I was seeking; for, as sister of wards in a medical hospital, I had seen everything that money and material science could do, fail. Later, I was attacked by an old malady, hereditary gout. Sometimes I had been out of commission for three months at a time with it; but this time I was healed in one treatment by the understanding of what man's true parentage is,—that man always has been and always will be the perfect image and likeness of God. I learned that mortals have in reality no history and no past; that all is now and eternal. I learned that the supposed law of heredity is no law at all, only a mortal belief which claims to be law; that I was entitled to health, to harmony, and to dominion. This was eleven years ago; and although I have lived in swampy climates and have eaten all the before-time forbidden things, I have had no return of this difficulty.

For this healing and many other blessings I am very grateful; but I am even more thankful for the spiritual uplift it has brought to me, for the protection, and above all, the surety that if Science is rightly applied it solves every problem.—(Mrs.) Jannetta M. Spencer Knight, Shanghai, China.
