I turned to Christian Science in the first instance for physical healing. I was not interested in what I thought was a new religion: I wanted the healing. When a kind lady asked me if I knew anything about Christian Science, I told her I did not; so we talked several hours about its glorious truths. Then she asked me to buy a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy and read it; which I did. My neighbors said I looked like a new woman in a week's time; and in five weeks I was completely healed of all my physical ailments, and had regained health and strength. That was nearly three years ago. I have used no medicine from that day to this.

My little girl, two years old, had for many months been troubled with her ears. The doctor said she must be operated on, or she would be deaf before she was five years old. I put the operation off, thinking I just could not have it done. Then I decided to try Christian Science; and by talking to a practitioner my child was instantaneously healed. From that day to this she has had no more trouble with her ears. I have four children, and they have all been helped. Measles, influenza, fever, and various children's complaints have disappeared in a few treatments.

It was in the summer of 1920 that I came to Christian Science. In February, 1922, I had a breaking out on my limbs and neck. I was almost unable to get up from and down to a chair, or into and out of bed, as I had such excruciating pain. I asked for help from a Christian Science practitioner; but did not seem to get much relief at first. I went and stayed with the practitioner for six days, and was healed.
