[Written for the Sentinel]

"As a little child"

If you would reach the heights ahead, then let God lead you there,
Just follow His wise guidance and accept His tender care,
And never for an instant let your thought or steps turn back,
You'll lose all sense of hardship, and you'll gain whate'er you lack.

Come, climb these heights with joy and song; and even as you mount,
Your Guide and Helper, God the Lord, has led you to the fount
Whence flows all life and truth and love,—all things or good or kind,
Contentment and humility and perfect peace of mind!
