We have had many physical healings in our family during the then years I have depended upon Christian Science, and I should like to relate one of them.

In the fall of 1921, our eldest child had a healing of a throat disease. There were some cases of diphtheria in town, and from symptoms it was thought to be diphtheria. The practitioner to whom Love guided me for help in this case lived in a neighboring town. I sent a message one evening between five and six o'clock. The next morning about two o'clock, the child awoke healed. We certainly rejoiced and praised God. There was some manifestation of after effects, and I sent a message on each of the two following days. I did not know when the after effects vanished. A member of the family who was not a Scientist wanted a physician, and asked the child for her consent, but she would not give it, so none was called.

I am indeed more grateful than words can express for Christian Science, and for being saved from the slavery of many false beliefs in which I was formerly educated. There are more to overcome, but I am pressing on with faith in God. Even as Mrs. Eddy says she did, in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (pp. 226, 227), I am "trusting Truth, the strong deliverer, to guide me into the land of Christian Science, where fetters fall and the rights of man are fully known and acknowledged."
