[Written for the Sentinel]

To-day

Oh, so gently He is calling,
Art thou dwelling in the truth?
Art thou knowing through the turmoil
And the noise of error's rumbling
That His presence goeth with thee,
In His love thou dost abide?

Art thou knowing, oh, my brother,
Of the Father's tender care,
Who, for thee all good providing
From the treasures of His heaven,
Heedeth all thy heart's desire
Ere thou utterest it in prayer?

Art thou living in this knowing
Of the allness of our God?
Doth the light that now surrounds thee,
With a radiance ever glowing,
Show thee more of presence, power,
And the glory of His Word?

Then arise, dear heart; be joyful,
Thou the truth hast seen to-day!
Thou hast heard the healing message;
And the promises o'erflowing
With a Father's love, compassion,
Are for thee, beloved. Arise!
