At the time I began to study Christian Science I was a very miserable, unhappy woman. I was taking medicine all the time, and getting no better. After having Christian Science treatment I soon began to improve, and became able to do my work. I am the mother of four children, and it was very necessary to attend to the duties of a wife and mother. My healing was slow, and I had many things to overcome; but I am very thankful now for the seemingly slow healing, because I had to study for myself. It is now about twenty-three years since I had my first treatment in Christian Science, and in all these years I have never tasted medicine of any kind. The truth has met all seeming discords, and I am truly thankful for all it has done for me and mine. I am so thankful it has taught me how to forgive. At one time that was one of the hardest things to overcome; also resentment over any sense of seeming injustice. I thank God, however, that I am learning a little of what Christian Science means,—that there is but one Mind, one divine Principle; that divine Love fills all space; that God is the only Life, and that we live in Him. I am also deeply grateful to our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy.
