Trust Thou and Know

THE Lord hath said, Be not afraid! Fear not!
Thy heart, bowed low beneath its load of grief unutterable,
Shall learn a sympathy so great, so broad,
That thou shalt clasp His hand, and know
That Love alone is God!

Fear not! The lilies fair
That cast their incense on the evening air,
More beautiful by far than robes of princes are.
The birds that soar and sing, they are His care.
Ah, fear thou not, He will thy burden bear!

Fear not, but know! Thou shalt transcend thy Meribah;
He loves and cares for thee!
Fear not, O man! trust thou, trust thou, and know!
