Through Christian Science I have been healed of an aggravated and terrifying form of stomach trouble. For years the best medical attention that could be procured afforded me only occasional temporary relief; and my condition became more and more alarming. I frequently could eat nothing for two or three days at a time; so that through semistarvation and suffering I became too much of an invalid to be at all useful or to know any peace of mind.

I was very near despair when a friend lent me a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and I began to read it. I thought the first chapter, on Prayer, the most beautiful I had ever read. It at once brought such hope to my heart that I decided to turn to Christian Science both for physical healing and for a better understanding of God. I received my first treatment during a night of agony. Before morning the excruciating headache that was a result of the stomach difficulty disappeared; and, with it, the fear that had oppressed me for so long began to give way to a peaceful trust in God's power. As with continued treatments my healing went gently on, my faith grew, strengthened by each proof of God's love and by the constant reading of Mrs. Eddy's books, until to-day I know the blessings of relief from disease, freedom from fear of its return, and the joy of absolute reliance upon God. I have learned through the teachings of Christian Science that He is the Giver of all good, and never the author of sorrow or pain; and as I trust Him more and more, so much the more are His perfect gifts and perfect protection made manifest.

Nothing that I can say or do can begin to express my gratitude for and confident love of Christian Science.
