To
the Christian Scientist, the Bible becomes a limitless storehouse from which to draw fresh inspiration and enlightenment.
To
the average person there is something fascinating in the thought of light, however caught or diffused.
In
the eighteenth chapter of the fourth gospel is given, in one brief sentence, the mission of true Christianity and of Christian Science.
It is evident that a contributor, in a recent issue of your paper, like most critics of Christian Science, has presumed to speak without a knowledge of the facts.
If the statements regarding Christian Science teaching made by the critic were as he writes them, they would not only be repudiated by every other thoughtful man, but also by every Christian Scientist.

Christian Science is based solely on the Bible.
No
student of the Bible can fail to be impressed by the emphasis put upon the necessity for full faith in God under all circumstances, expressed in both the precepts and the examples of the prophets, teachers, lawgivers, and leaders of spiritual thought from Abraham to Christ Jesus himself.
All
the world would prefer not to be afraid, for it is quite willing to admit that "fear hath torment;" but how to be saved from fear is a question which has puzzled both Christian and infidel, both the sage and the unlettered.
I wish to try to express a part of the gratitude I feel for Christian Science by telling of some of the wonderful changes it has made in my life.
I am glad of the opportunity to bear witness to the healing and regenerating power of Christian Science.
With a heart filled with gratitude, I give the following testimony of healing through the ministration of Christian Science.
In loving gratitude for all the joy, activity, health, and harmony Christian Science has given me for many years, I am indeed glad to take advantage of this opportunity given me to express it.
I would like to express my gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me.
About fourteen years ago I investigated Christian Science for physical help, and was healed of a severe attack of rheumatism after reading for a few hours "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy.
When Christian Science teaching came to my notice, I was suffering, and had been suffering for several years, with an incurable organic disease, according to the diagnosis of the best physicians obtainable.
I cannot find words adequate to express my gratitude to God and to Mary Baker Eddy for Christian Science.
I have been in Christian Science only three or four years, and have found there what all other Protestant denominations have failed to show me,—that a useful and practical religion, when rightly applied, will meet each human need.
For twelve years I was a semi-invalid, suffering from chronic nephritis.
Because I am grateful for the help received, I would like to tell of a healing which came to me last summer.
When I first learned of Christian Science in 1909, I had been ill most of the time for nearly twenty years.
When I first took up the study of Christian Science, I was suffering from a growth in one side of my nose, which gave me a great deal of discomfort.
