I am deeply grateful for Christian Science

I am deeply grateful for Christian Science. I came into it for healing three years ago, not knowing or caring what it meant so long as I could get well, doctors being unable to do anything more for me. I was born with cataract, and had six operations for this before the age of twenty-one. To mortal sense I have no eyes to see with, the lenses having been removed. I could not see to get about my room without glasses, which I have worn for thirty years; but am now able to walk about the street and to see the opposite side of the road without them; and I am looking forward to the joyous day when I shall be able to discard them entirely. "Whereas I was blind, now I see;" and I try to realize more each day that sight is spiritual, and that I cannot be deprived of this gift of God.

I should like to say something about divine Love, which passeth all understanding, for I shall never forget the loving words said to me, "Remember, Love is all around you." Those words rang in my thought for months. Love! It didn't seem to come my way; and I never connected such a thing with myself, as, seemingly, hatred and discord had surrounded me for thirty years; but now I know that Love is all around me; and the more I realize this the more I shall be able to reflect it, and to help others as I have been helped. I am indeed grateful to God for this wonderful gift which has come to us through the selflessness of Mary Baker Eddy, and to all those who have so patiently and lovingly helped me.
