"Freely ye have received, freely give." For nearly six years I have been receiving blessings from my study of Christian Science; and I desire to recount for the benefit of others what these blessings are. The physical healings were the release from wearing eyeglasses, which had been used many years, and also from smoking, the healing of influenza during the epidemic, and, recently, the healing of a skin trouble which had caused much discomfort for many months. These, however, are but incidental to the greater freedom from envy, procrastination, lust, and the like, which I am attaining as I continue my studies. I am learning, as our Leader says in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 568), that self-abnegation "is a rule in Christian Science;" and as I conquer the desires of self, praying, "Not my will, but thine, be done," I always find the way opened to greater harmony and further achievements.
I am indeed grateful for all my blessings, not only to God, who gives, and to Jesus, who showed us the way, but also to our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, for her work in revealing to mankind the truth that heals and saves.
Harry S. Weil, Cleveland, Ohio.
