From early childhood I was considered by the physicians as being of frail and delicate physique. My parents were always more or less apprehensive and on one or two occasions were advised to provide change of climate for me. It was thought that I was developing pulmonary tuberculosis. All these conditions prevailed many years. While living in the South I was told by physicians to change my residence to the North, and it was while in a northern city that a casual acquaintance brought to my notice the healing grace of Christian Science which has brought so much good into my daily experience. I am grateful for the opportunity afforded through our periodicals to mention the benefits received.

Through the reading of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy I was healed of nervous indigestion and chronic constipation, and have no further symptoms of tuberculosis. Since that time, through earnest study and the application of my understanding of Christian Science, other physical as well as financial problems have been overcome. I also realize fully the protection we are daily experiencing in our human affairs. As I grow in understanding I know it is not so much the physical ease I am seeking. As Mrs. Eddy writes on the first page of "The People's Idea of God," "Every step of progress is a step more spiritual," and in proportion as we progress the peace and calm assurance of Immanuel, or "God with us," is manifested.
