I would like to tell what Christian Science has done for me. I had been in the hospital three different times and was operated upon for gallstones, rupture, and a tumor. I had paid out about all I had to the doctors, and the last time I came home I was worse off than ever. I suffered terribly from an infected bladder and loss of appetite. The doctor said I would starve to death and I was so weak I could hardly stand. They wanted me to go back to the hospital, but all I wanted was to die. A lady brought me some copies of the Christian Science Sentinel and asked me to read them, but I did not believe that anything could help me. A friend also sent me a copy of the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, which I tried to read but could not.

When I was so weak that I felt I could not try anything any longer, friends helped me to the telephone and I called a Christian Science practitioner and asked for help. That was at seven in the evening, and that night I had the first night's sleep I had had for three months. When my husband came to me in the morning I felt so well and happy and I said to him, "See what God has done; I am well!" I have been well ever since, and I thank God and I am grateful to Mary Baker Eddy for Christian Science, and trust this testimony may help some one else who is seeking the truth.
