[Written for the Sentinel]
Assurance
Who
would doubt the coming dawn,
Though the night be without a star!
Or the certainty of approaching Spring,
While yet o'er earth afar
Lies Winter's mantle white?
More real than dawn and springtime,
Is ever present Love;
One need not wait its coming;
'Tis beneath, around, above
And bathes all in its light!
