With a deep sense of gratitude I give this testimony of what Christian Science has done for me. Ever since my childhood I have been seeking for the truth, and now Christian Science has come as a complete and wholly satisfying explanation of the meaning of existence. Seven years ago I began studying "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, but the more I read the less I could understand, and so the book was laid aside. It was not until five years later when my eldest boy passed on, leaving me in profound despair, that I cautht a glimpse of the heavenly light when this truth was again presented to me, and then my understanding was opened. I have had many trying experiences since, but am most thankful for every step that leads me higher.
Some time ago my little boy of three years had continuous fever, but we secured help from a practitioner and one day he was suddenly quite well, without the convalescence that usually seems to follow such an ailment. He began directly to play and was again our little sunbeam. This experience proved to me God's loving care for His children.
It is my earnest desire to express my thankfulness for Mrs. Eddy, who was good and unselfish enough to give to the world this wonderful "Key to the Scriptures," through living by its teachings and serving God in every way I can.
