I want to express my gratitude for all that Christian Science has done for me. Having had bad health for many years, in 1911 I came to Christian Science for help. Soon after treatment was commenced I was freed from pain and began the study of our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, and with the continued help of the practitioner I was a well man in a very short time.

In 1917, while boarding a street car, I was knocked down and run over by an automobile. When picked up, I was unconscious and was carried to the Confederate Home, where I had been living for seven years. Upon examination my arm was found to be badly broken, and as my age was eighty-two, the doctor gave no hope of its ever healing. My head was badly cut and bruised, my face cut, and two ribs were loosened. A Christian Science practitioner treated me and every discordant condition was overcome. The cut healed without leaving any scar. After some weeks the hospital surgeon took an X-ray of the arm and said the bone was overlapped and there were nineteen pieces growing in with the muscle. He stated that there would never be any rotary movement even if the arm could be used. Christian Science treatments were continued and the arm is perfect in strength, though a small lack of motion is noticed at times. In every way I am as strong as I have been for many years, and my general health is fine.

I study our Lesson-Sermon daily, read all our literature, and am gaining in wisdom and understanding of the truth. Through my wonderful healing one of my daughters, who had been a great sufferer for twenty-four years, has turned to God, and she and all her family are rejoicing in renewed health and strength. I am thankful to God, who is a present help, and grateful to our Leader, who through deep waters was led to give us Science and Health.
