Christian Science has been to me during ten years a "pearl of great price." Often it has been necessary to struggle to retain this pearl, but always its possession has brought love and harmony and "every good gift."

I was first healed of fear, and then came freedom from physical discord. I had been sent home from college suffering severely from an abnormal condition of the kidneys and a nervous collapse. For thirteen years my eyes had been weak and often inflamed. I had not been strong for several years and, just prior to learning of Christian Science, was quite overcome with discouragement and melancholy. When it was suggested that I see a Christian Science practitioner before undergoing an operation for the kidney condition, I consented merely to please the dear relative who recommended it. After one treatment, however, I removed the adhesive plaster, which was supposed to be essential to my comfort, laid aside my glasses, and felt for the first time the joy of gratitude to a God who is Love. Since that evening Christian Science has supplied my every need. I have been healed of a so-called "musician's wrist" and of a dislocated shoulder, of ptomaine poisoning, Spanish influenza, and inflammatory rheumatism in a very severe from.

I wish to express especial gratitude to Christian Science for my little daughter who, at the time of her coming, was given "one chance in ten" by two physicians. To-day she radiates health and love and joy. To those who have lovingly helped me in my progress in truth and to our revered Leader, I am increasingly grateful. The authorized literature is invaluable.
