With
very doleful thoughts because she was obliged to be alone for some weeks, a young student of Christian Science sat on the veranda of her new home in the Central American tropics.
Anyone
who follows the testimonies of healing through Christian Science as printed in our various publications or as given in the Wednesday evening meetings, cannot fail to have noticed the frequency with which gratitude is expressed for a fuller knowledge of the Word of God through a study of Christian Science.
There
have been men in every age who stand out as the great men of their century; succeeding generations, therefore, are set to study the lives of these heroes in order to benefit thereby, such examples proving to be a profitable inspiration to one who learns to appreciate them by studying their motives and sources of strength.
How
much sweeter our journey heavenward, and how much more joyous our progress, both for ourselves and for those around us, when we but realize the truth of the statement found in our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures".
There is, perhaps, no word in the English language about which more nonsense, and quite often more mischievous nonsense, is talked, than the word loyalty.
One needs to have but a slight knowledge of Mrs.
Christian Science accepts as real only that which is absolutely true, genuine, permanent, eternal, existing forever as a fact, not merely apparent to the physical senses.
It is a far cry from telling of missionary work in foreign lands to a vicious attack on Mrs.
