I have long felt that I should send a testimony of the wonderful help I have received since coming into Christian Science. In the winter of 1914 I had arrived at man's extremity in trying to save the life of my little girl, who was a victim of spinal trouble, having been a constant sufferer for eight years. She was unable to walk and could not bear the motion of the easiest moving vehicle. At this time my brother-in-law, a physician, who had done everything that he could for her, told me that she could not live more than a year, and possibly not that long. I then decided to turn to Christian Science, and without the least knowledge of this truth and with a grave feeling of doubt as to whether there was a God, I decided to be fair and give it a trial. To my astonishment and delight my daughter was released from her torture in one treatment and was able to lie straight in bed for the first time. I remember with a grateful heart how peacefully and relaxed she lay and slept that whole night through, the first in months without pain. In three months she was attending school. It is now five years and she has had no recurrence of the pain. She is in perfect health, and people are beginning to notice that she is growing. She was healed at the same time of chronic bowel trouble. I have never had any desire to go back to medicine and my children have never been healthier.

I hope that this testimony will be of help to some one. I am deeply grateful to God for our wonderful Leader.
