As the testimonies have been a great encouragement to me and have often been the means of helping me work out my problems, I should like to express a measure of my appreciation in giving a few of our many healings in Christian Science.

Four years ago my grandmother, who was then eighty-one years of age, was healed of paralysis. For three days she had the loving help of a practitioner and each day some discordant condition yielded. On the third day, with the knowledge that "underneath are the everlasting arms," she walked. One day she caught her heel in a torn stair carpet, and fell, striking her head on a register and losing consciousness. She asked for help in Christian Science and in about an hour even the lameness was gone. She was healed of acute lung trouble in four days. When moving into a strange house she fell down the basement stairs and the teeth of her comb were forced into her scalp. A practitioner was called at once and an hour and a half later my grandmother was able to enjoy her dinner and move about, free from pain. Time and time again she has found that Christian Science is an ever present help.

The children have been saved the experiences of many contagious diseases, all symptoms disappearing, sometimes before being identified. For a number of years the second child had been hard of hearing and suffered great pain in the ear, accompanied by an unpleasant discharge. This was overcome by Christian Science, and she now hears perfectly. The eldest child had trouble about retaining food at times and was doctored for worms and the usual causes, but this difficulty disappeared during our first year in Christian Science and her condition has been perfectly normal since.
