I feel most grateful to Mrs. Eddy and Christian Science...
I feel most grateful to Mrs. Eddy and Christian Science for rescuing me from what seemed a living death. Ever since childhood, or for practically twenty-two years, I was a mental and physical wreck, suffering from one of the worst forms of so-called incurable disease. Christian Science was brought to my notice in 1917 by a friend who lent me "Miscellaneous Writings" by Mrs. Eddy. My first thought whilst reading this beautiful book was, "This is the very thing which I have been looking for all my life." I was so overjoyed to know there was hope for me after all, that I immediately purchased a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" and began to attend the Christian Science church here. I also called upon a practitioner, who gave me treatment and explained to me clearly and faithfully the Principle of Mind-healing. In three treatments I was healed, but at first I could hardly realize my physical healing as it came so naturally. I did, however, realize the spiritual uplift which Christian Science brought to me, and the bright hopes it gave me for that glorious future which is at hand.
My daily desire is to be more grateful to divine Love for all the blessings that I am and always shall be receiving through gaining some understanding of Christian Science. I can only say in the words of Martin Luther: "Here I stand; I can do no otherwise. God help me. Amen!"
William Ernest Lowenstein, Sydney, Australia.
