Among the Churches
Current Notes
Oakland, Cal. —There is to be another church in the vicinity of Twenty-fourth street and Broadway, a neighborhood which now has several of the largest church buildings in the city. Plans are being prepared for an edifice for Seventh Church of Christ, Scientist, of Oakland. It is to be a frame structure with a front of pressed brick, and will cost, with the lot, approximately twenty thousand dollars.
Oakland Tribune.
Minneapolis, Minn. —Owing to the overcrowded condition of Second Church of Christ, Scientist, a number of its members have withdrawn and formed a new organization known as Fourth Church of Christ, Scientist. The organization follows the usual policy of Christian Science churches, providing for the formation of new churches from the overflow of others. —Minneapolis News.
