Several years ago I came to Loveland, Col., mentally and physically ill. I had spent all the money I had on physicians, when a friend asked me to try Christian Science. Today I am a well, strong man, and very grateful that this blessed truth came to me. I suffered from asthma, lung trouble, and stomach disorder for four years, and had tried every remedy and climate possible. Though I was not healed at once after taking up Christian Science, I was greatly benefited and able to do some work; but as I grew to understand, love, and obey this truth, all the physical ills disappeared.

About a year after I turned to Christian Science, while at work in Estes Park, I had a severe attack of acute lung trouble, with hemorrhages. I was living in a hotel, and in a town where every one opposed Christian Science and tried to force me to use material remedies. I was treated by a practitioner thirty-two miles away, and in five days was freed from all the serious forms of this disease. In three weeks I was up. Considering my former physical condition, my age and surroundings, I think this a wonderful healing, and a proof to those around me of the efficacy of Christian Science. I was also healed of the tobacco habit, after using the weed for forty years.

I was given treatment a great deal of the time for two years but was unable to pay for it, as I was then living on borrowed money; nevertheless the practitioner willingly helped me always, and I was grateful. I have since then paid her, and have also paid all my other debts, so it is with much joy that I send this testimony. On one occasion I met with a serious accident in which four ribs were broken, but I was healed in six weeks without the aid of a physician. I have since been examined by a physician, and he said the healing was perfect. Christian Science also freed me from a sense of great grief and bitterness. It has healed me mentally, physically, financially, and spiritually.
