My wife was ill during a period of six years,—since the birth of her first child in 1903,—and was confined to her bed the greater part of the time, suffering greatly. The pain never left her, so that according to her own testimony she had actually forgotten how it felt to be free from it. All these years she had been constantly under medical care, and no expense was spared. Finally she lost all faith in materia medica and decided to try Christian Science, though with but faint hope, as she had invariably met with disappointment in former attempts to find relief by some new method. Abandoning the use of all material remedies, however, she left for Frankfort-on-the-Main in order to put herself under Christian Science treatment. She immediately experienced good results, and gradually returned to a normal condition of health. A little over a year afterward, she gave birth to a healthy boy and experienced hardly any pain. The child is now three and a half years old.

Drugs or other material means are no longer in use in my family, for the healing of my wife caused me to become interested in Christian Science, and I as well as my children have been completely restored in all cases of sickness through the spiritual power which is made available to us through these teachings.—Hermann Klum, Munich, Germany.
