I gladly testify to the blessings and the wonderful instances of healing which I have experienced through Christian Science. Not long ago I became afflicted with a disease known as "shingles," which was accompanied by great pain. Believing this to be some infectious trouble, I called the physician that same night, and he informed me that two weeks might elapse before the healing would be complete. On the next day my mother asked a Christian Science practitioner for help, and through her treatment not only did the pain immediately disappear, but a general restoration of the body took place within a much shorter time than the physician had said, and I became fit for service after a few days.

Shortly after this experience I was taken ill with severe inflammation of the throat. I had to consult a physician in order to comply with business regulations, and he told me that this was an illness not to be regarded lightly, that I must stay in bed, and so forth. On the same day the kind practitioner was again called upon to assist me, and within a very short time I ate solid food, which I had not been able to do previously, and it soon became possible for me to resume my duties.

For these blessings I am deeply thankful to God. I also feel greatly indebted to our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, whose teachings enable us to obliterate the errors of mortal sense that they may be replaced by the truth.
