Like many others, I have delayed in sending my testimony...
Like many others, I have delayed in sending my testimony to the healing of sin and sickness which has come to me through the study and application of Christian Science. The understanding which I have gained through its teachings is definitely, radically, and fundamentally healing, and it is changing me,—my character, my health, my motives, my actions, my outlook on life, and my relations to my fellow man, because it is teaching me the laws of right thinking. It is giving to me, as to every one else who studies it, a practical means whereby I can avail myself of the help of God to guide and sustain me in every right action, and to overcome every discord and difficulty of life, nothing being too small and nothing too great to which to apply it. It is bringing me a sense of health, stability, peace, and happiness which I have never thought was possible, whereas before I heard of Christian Science I was often ill, nearly always tired, and constantly unhappy and distressed.
I am most grateful for this freedom; but I should like especially to express my gratitude for the scientific fact revealed in Christian Science, that man is governed and controlled by God alone, the one Mind, and not by any human personality with the human influence and attraction which bring in their wake every kind of ill and evil. Christian Science is gradually obliterating from my consciousness even the memory of past discordant conditions, though retaining the good of every experience; it is enlarging my present sphere of love and usefulness, and brightening the future with the sure hope and promise of good for me and all mankind. It is indeed "God with us."
