My heart is filled with gratitude for the blessings received...
My heart is filled with gratitude for the blessings received through Christian Science. About three years ago I suffered with several chronic ailments, such as stomach, bowel, and kidney troubles, also an abdominal complaint. I tried six of the best physicians at that time, none of whom were able to help me, in fact some of them gave me no hope of recovery; but while in my greatest need I heard of Christian Science and applied to a practitioner for treatment, which was taken up in a most loving way. My condition improved from that day on, though the healing was somewhat slow, treatment being continued for about six months, after which time I began to work for myself to the best of my ability.
In eleven months' time I was completely healed of all my troubles, and a year later gave birth to a fine, healthy baby. It is an unusually strong child and has never been sick. When the baby was about four months old, however, I seemingly lapsed into a very dangerous condition, some of the old troubles reappearing in an aggravated form; moreover, I was disturbed mentally, and discord seemed to hold sway. My friends were greatly alarmed at my appearance, but I again asked the practitioner for help, and through her faithful work the symptoms gradually disappeared. When fear and discouragement arose, the loving help I received inspired me with new hope, and I relied upon divine Truth, which always is the victor.
I am now a perfectly well woman, sound in mind and body, praising God and giving thanks for the many blessings received, and holding deep appreciation for the work done by the Founder of Christian Science, through whom this great truth has again been revealed to the world.
