I send the following testimony to the Sentinel with gratitude for the happiness and help Christian Science has given me for nearly six years. Many proofs of healing and many blessings have I received through the study of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. I am glad to be one of the many thousands to express love and gratitude to her who has shown the world how to meet and overcome all evil by the understanding of God and our relation to Him, as taught by Christ Jesus. That she has correctly interpreted his teaching and method, I have proven many times by demonstrations of healing.

One example of how much quicker and more efficacious the spiritual healing is than the old material method, was impressed on me when my son was twice afflicted with a dreaded disease of the eyes. The first attack caused him severe suffering, sharp pains darting continually through the eyes for three days and nights. He was under the care of a medical doctor, who ordered bandages, changed every half hour, and some fluid dropped into the eyes every five minutes. It was several weeks before he entirely recovered, and even then the eyes seemed weak. Just a year later the same symptoms reappeared. Meantime Christian Science had healed me of many diseases, neuralgia, curvature of the spine, rheumatism, and dropsy being among them. With my then limited understanding of the truth, I succeeded in helping my boy, so that the suffering was slight and only troubled him one day. He slept well the first night, and the healing was complete, for he has never had any trouble with his eyes since, and this was over five years ago.

I am truly grateful to God for my health and support, and to the Christ for his wondrous teaching, made so much clearer by Mrs. Eddy's writings. As she says on page 353 of Science and Health, "All must admit that Christ is 'the way, the truth, and the life,' and that omnipotent Truth certainly does destroy error."
