AMONG THE CHURCHES

CURRENT NOTES.

Portland, Ore.—A new Christian Science church building has been started by Third Church of Christ, Scientist, which since its organization has been worshiping in Eilers recital hall. The new building is intended to serve as a temporary church home for the rapidly growing congregation. It will be located on the northeast corner of East Twelfth and Salmon streets, within easy walking distance of all the main car lines in that section of the city. The bungalow type of architecture has been chosen, with a light color scheme predominating in the interior. The main auditorium will seat five hundred people, in addition to which the plans provide for a spacious Sunday school room which will be used during the week as a reading-room. The new building will be ready for occupancy by the middle of April.
