A chair of metaphysics should not be overlooked in the new university curriculum for this province. The orthodox theological schools have so long taught materialism that the world is steeped in it and the consequent religious retrogression. The day is breaking when Spirit is demonstrated and defined with as much precision as any mathematical problem. The origin of thought, the power of mind over matter, and spiritual healing will be better understood if studied with metaphysical aid. Humanity is peering toward Spirit more and more, having found materialism insufficient, unsatisfying.

Not one holy day, but seven.

Worshiping, not at the call of a bell, but at the call of my soul;

Singing, not at the baton's sway, but to the rhythm in my heart;

Loving because I must,

Giving because I cannot keep,

Doing for the joy of it.
