The reason for the world-wide growth of the Christian Science...
Manchester (England) Citizen
The reason for the world-wide growth of the Christian Science movement is that its teaching is fulfilling the conditions laid down by the master Christian, "He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also." This does not imply any limitation as to what can be done by spiritual means. Dr. Dearmer admits that there is scientific proof that spiritual healing is not confined to neurotic and inorganic diseases, but hesitates to acknowledge that the case of a broken leg could be dealt with successfully. If he admits the healing of Jesus, he must admit that it did not take long to restore the withered arm "like as the other" by spiritual means alone.
One truth discovered, one pang of regret at not being able to express it, is worth all the fluency and flippancy in the world.—
Alexander Smith.
