The Lectures
To large and appreciative audiences Bliss Knapp lectured twice on Christian Science in First Church of Christ, Scientist. Col. John Q. Tabor introduced Mr. Knapp at the first lecture and said in part:—
Christian Science, the Science of Christianity, as taught by Jesus the Christ nearly two thousand years ago, has been receiving the profound attention of thinking people throughout the world for more than forty years, and at no time more than the present. This is attested by the splendid audience with us this evening and the splendid audiences which greet our lecturers everywhere.—Houston Daily Post.
At the second lecture the introduction by Rezin D. Steele, first reader, was in part as follows:—
