It was through sorrow and sickness that I was led to...
It was through sorrow and sickness that I was led to Christian Science. Ten years ago it was recommended to me in time of need. We had an invalid daughter who had been ill and was healed through this truth. Afterward I was taken ill with hemorrhages of the bladder. A Christian Science practitioner treated me, and I was healed in one week of that malady. My daughter was also taken ill at midnight with hemorrhages of the bowels. She suffered violent pain, and a telephone message was sent to this same practitioner. In fifteen minutes all pain had ceased and the hemorrhages also; in a half hour my daughter fell asleep, and all was harmonious.
Later, my son was taken ill with very high fever and a cough. Two treatments were given him by the practitioner, and he was healed and able to be out of doors the second day. Our youngest daughter had a fever, but in one week's time she was entirely healed. She was able to be about all the time, and ate the same food the family did after the first day. All these demonstrations of Truth's power were beautifully and promptly made.
I have much to be thankful for,—thankful to our Father-Mother God, also to Mrs. Eddy. I have received many blessings through the teachings of Christian Science, the truth which was given us by our dear Leader, through her untiring labor for mankind.
