It is with the deepest gratitude to God for the many blessings...
It is with the deepest gratitude to God for the many blessings which Christian Science has brought to me and my family, that I give this testimony. It is several years since I first heard of Christian Science, and at that time I was suffering from varicose veins, which had been pronounced incurable by two of Chicago's ablest surgeons. For fifteen years I wore rubber stockings from the knee down, and was finally advised by surgeons that an operation was absolutely necessary, but they were doubtful of a permanent cure.
It was at this time that loving friends and my dear wife urged me to give Christian Science a trial. I did so, and I am happy to say that in a short time I discarded the rubber stockings and was permanently healed. I continued, however, to take treatment some little time, as I wished to ascertain what had really healed me, and I can truthfully say that I owe my life to Christian Science. I was born and raised in the Jewish faith, and was always taught to believe in God, but as a Christian Scientist I am daily gaining a better understanding of Him. Christian Science is opening up to me that most beautiful of all books, the Bible, which heretofore seemed closed to me.
The physical healing has really meant to me the least of my blessings. The greatest has been the spiritual awakening, the mental and moral regeneration, also the knowledge of God and of man's relation to Him. I am deeply grateful for the privilege of having my two children attend the Christian Science Sunday school, and my heart overflows with love to God and gratitude to Mrs. Eddy for this glorious truth that frees all mankind.
