It is with a thankful heart that I tell of some of the benefits received from Christian Science. It was about fifteen years ago that a lady brought it to my notice, and I can say that I seem to reckon my life from that time. I got a copy of Science and Health, and read it almost night and day. I have had many good demonstrations of its truth, and though there are still some discords which I have not been able to overcome, I do not doubt that I shall, if I continue to rely on the word of God.
Hoping to help some one else, I will tell of the healing of my son, fifteen years old. In a fall from a tree he dislocated his shoulder and injured the bone very badly. I took him to a doctor to have it set, and after calling in another doctor, they worked over the boy for an hour. The arm was set three times, but it would not stay in place. They then told me they had never seen a case like it, and that the boy would never use his arm again. I told them to put it in a cast and that I would take care of him. I then called on a Christian Science practitioner for help. The boy suffered very little, and in three weeks we took his arm out of the sling and he went back to school. The arm has never troubled him in the least since. The doctor told me that he did not understand it; that he never saw a worse break, and yet it amounted to nothing.
Words cannot express my thankfulness to God for Christian Science and what it has done for me and mine. Only by living the truth it teaches can we prove our gratitude to her who has shown us the way.
