I have been interested in Christian Science for ten years, and was healed of nervousness in its worst form, when physicians said that medicine could not help me. I had suffered from headaches from childhood, and they were very frequent, but they have vanished, with other ills, and for all this I am indeed very grateful; but the understanding gained through the study of the Bible and Science and Health, which enabled me to overcome many faults of resentment, jealousy, fear, and worry, is greater than the physical healing, since it has changed all about me and enabled me to make others happy. Discouragement may creep in many times, but if we are obedient to our Leader's teaching, this too is quickly overcome.

Our little son, now three years old, has never taken medicine and is a perfect manifestation of the power of Truth to protect and heal. When any ailment has appeared it has always been quickly overcome. The experience passed through at the time of his birth was very interesting indeed, and a great proof to those around me of what Christian Science can do. How much joy there would be, if every mother would trust and leave all to God at such a time! Financial problems also disappear, when we learn through the study of Christian Science to leave all to divine Truth and Love and know that our every need will be met.

Our mother, after eight years of suffering with a skin disease, which physicians said was the result of ivy poisoning, turned to Christian Science for help, as she had given every known remedy a trial without finding relief. The conditions were alarming, as her eyesight was becoming affected, and she was unable to do any kind of work, her hands being badly affected. After several weeks' treatment in Christian Science, the eruption disappeared, but she was very ill, and was confined to her room five months. The symptoms indicated a fever, but this was destroyed ; then dropsy and rheumatism appeared, and upon calling a physician to diagnose the case (to satisfy other members of the family) he stated there were indications of blood-poisoning, as one limb was in an alarming condition. After a time all these symptoms disappeared under Christian Science treatment, as well as others which came up.
