I am very thankful to testify to what divine Love has done for me through Christian Science. For ten years I suffered with extreme depression, manifested in intense grief and crying. A little over a year ago I was obliged to go away from my home, and was on the point of being sent to an institution where I have been four times previously. This I dreaded very much, as I could not bear to think of leaving the ones I loved. When a friend asked me one day if I would consent to see a Christian Science practitioner, I said that I would; though I did not understand what she meant. The practitioner came to see me on the next Sunday, and I shall always bless the day when he explained Christian Science to me and told me I should be in my own home by the next Sunday. I could not think this was possible, but it was quite true. My husband came to see me and brought me a copy of Science and Health to read; but at first I took very little interest in it. I however read a few of the testimonies and wonderd if they were really true, though I felt at the same time that even so the healing was not for me.

After my return home we attended the services on Sunday evenings. The practitioner and lady used to come to see me, and I shall never forget the love and kindness that were shown me. My healing was slow, but I am most grateful for this, as it has taught me every day to understand God better. I am deeply grateful for all the love and kindness that have been shown me by a lady Scientist, who was very patient and who has helped me greatly.
