It is with deepest gratitude that we write of what Christian Science has done for our dear Eldress Polly Lee. She is now ninety years of age, and previous to her knowledge of the healing power of divine Love had passed a long life of suffering. For the last seven years, Christian Science has been her only refuge, and many times has she been blessed through its ministry. During this time she has been helped through the efforts of several practitioners, as needs seemed to arise. An enumeration of the many demonstrations of victory over error that we have witnessed would fill a volume, and need not be attempted at this time; but we will bear testimony to some of the more recent and what might seem like the most remarkable instances of healing in her case.

About two years ago she was attacked with an eruptive disease. The usual symptoms were present, and the general appearance was alarming. In this emergency we telephoned to a Christian Science practitioner who had previously helped her, and absent treatment was given; relief immediately followed, the trouble was checked, and healing was soon accomplished. This was an instantaneous healing, and it was really wonderful to those about our dear one to witness the rapid change. Instead of the disease finishing "its course," as it certainly seemed fairly started to do, the alarming symptoms gave way and vanished.

Another and if possible more remarkable experience was that of one year ago, when Eldress Polly seemed to be prostrated with great weakness, and was suffering intensely with neuralgia, having little rest night or day, and none of the members of the household expected to see her up again. At this juncture help came once more through the efforts of the same practitioner, who with a confidence that amazed us declared the truth for her, and in spite of all evidence to the contrary, boldly and fearlessly upheld this declaration. Soon a change came, and steadily and surely strength returned. In a short time, instead of being lifted and carefully guarded, she was walking about and gaining strength every day. Another year of life and wonderful activity has been granted her; she goes all over the house, up and down stairs, and is out of doors nearly every day.
