About three years after coming into Christian Science, I had a convincing demonstration of Truth's power in the case of an injured ankle. One morning, on descending a flight of icy steps, I fell, and my foot turned under me; but I paid no attention to it until I got to the office, when it began to give me trouble and I experienced difficulty in walking. I applied my understanding of Christian Science as best I could while working, and afterward walked home, but with difficulty. While I was at supper the pain left me suddenly and I felt that the injury had been healed. I was able the same night to walk without any stiffness being apparent, although the flesh was discolored and swollen for nearly a week. I was also healed of a bowel disorder and have not suffered from this trouble for over sixteen years.

I have received many blessings from the understanding of Christian Science, the greatest of them being a true understanding of God and man, by which we are able to work out our salvation. I feel very thankful to Mrs. Eddy for giving to the world her many writings, including "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," also for the Journal, Sentinel, and Monitor, from all of which I obtain great spiritual help.
